Facility Security and Access
“24/7 surveillance” means nothing. Every storage site in the Quad Cities claims it. Almost none will tell you how many cameras, how long footage is kept, or whether anyone actually walks the lot. Here are our specs, so you can ask the other guy the same questions.

- 30 days
- Footage retention
- 100%
- Aisles on camera
- 24/7
- Access, every day
- Daily
- Staff walk-throughs
The specifics
Things we can prove.
If a claim ever happens, these decide whether there's a record to hand your insurer.
Camera coverage with 30-day retention
Cameras cover every drive aisle and both indoor buildings. Footage is retained 30 days and can be pulled for an insurance or police report.
Lit to work by, not just to look at
LED lighting across the lot and inside both buildings. If you have ever tried to hitch a trailer under one orange sodium lamp, you know the difference.
On-site presence
Staff on site during office hours and walking the rows daily. Damaged covers, flat tires and open compartments get reported to you, not ignored.
Staff-supervised access
Prospective tenants tour the lot with staff, never wander alone. A stored boat is not a showroom for someone shopping for outboards.
Access on your schedule
The lot is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. No gate to wait on and no code to forget — come get the rig at 5am for an early launch or late at night after work.
Ask any facility
Five questions worth asking.
Use these on us and on anyone else you tour.
- 01
How long is camera footage retained, and who can pull it?
- 02
Are cameras positioned down every aisle, or just at the entrance?
- 03
Is the lot lit well enough to walk and hitch a trailer at night?
- 04
Is anyone on site daily, and would they notice a flat tire or an open compartment?
- 05
Can non-tenants wander the lot to look around?
Insurance
What security doesn't replace.
Good security lowers risk. It does not insure your equipment, and any facility that implies otherwise is doing you a disservice.
- Your storage agreement covers the space, not the contents. That is standard everywhere — but most sites bury it.
- Your marine, RV or auto policy needs to remain active while the vehicle is stored. Many carriers offer a reduced lay-up or storage rate for the off-season.
- Ask your carrier specifically about comprehensive coverage during storage, and whether a covered or indoor space changes your premium. It often does.
- We will provide a certificate of the facility's liability coverage on request for your carrier's file.
